Maritime Greenwich is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich and diverse history of royalty, seafaring, science and engineering. It is home to the Royal Observatory and Greenwich Mean Time where the world’s eastern and western hemispheres meet and time begins, last remaining tea-clipper in the world, Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, Sir Christopher Wren’s riverside masterpiece The Old Royal Naval College and the magnificent Painted Hall known as ‘Britain’s Sistine Chapel.
A short walk north is Greenwich Peninsula buzzing with activities, shopping, eateries and adventure. The area is best known for The O2 the world’s most popular entertainment arena. For visitors that want a thrill and magnificent view of the London skyline visitors can choose a roof walk of the O2, the IFS Cloud Cable Car and The Tide elevated walkway.
